Is It Safe for Women in IT to Commute Alone After 8 PM? Seeking Advice on Legal Rights and Safety Measures

As per labor law in India, is it mandatory to provide a drop facility for women employees after 8 PM in the IT sector? My wife has recently moved to Noida after our marriage; her office is in Gurgaon. Her employers are not providing her with a drop facility even though her shift ends at 9 PM. It is highly unsafe for women in such a region. Can we do anything about it?

It is not mandatory, but I can say it is the responsibility of the employer. The law enforcement agencies have advised all employers to provide transport facilities to women employees who are going home late.
