Is It Risky Not Having a Safety Officer or Hydrant Facility in Chemical Manufacturing?

I am working as Dy. Manager - HR/P&A in our company, which includes all 100 employees and is involved in manufacturing chemicals.

Safety Officer Recruitment

1. We have not recruited a Safety Officer. Is this right or wrong?

Hydrant Facility Compliance

2. We do not have a hydrant facility. Is this a violation of rules or not?

It is apparent that your company is covered under the Factories Act. Please refer to the provisions of the Factories Act and comply with not only the provisions related to safety officers but all provisions of the Act. Otherwise, the penal provisions are very stringent under the Act. If you have any seniors in HR, please consult them and implement.
