Employee ID Card Lost: How Should HR Respond and Communicate with the Employee?

Hi, can anyone help if an employee has lost their ID card? As HR, what action should we take and what email should we send to the concerned employee?

Generally, you don't need to send any mail. An I-card is issued again, and some amount is deducted from the employee's account. It depends on your company policy.

Immediately ask the person whose ID is lost to lodge an FIR and submit it to the Department of HR. Losing the ID card might put the person in trouble.
