Please go through the following scenario: If a person completed his/her 3-year full-time engineering diploma in the year 1996, then took admission to engineering graduation in 1996. Completed college education in 1999 with second class, but with one subject remaining from the third year. Since then, he/she worked for various organizations. Meanwhile, he/she cleared his backlog in the year 2006 and was awarded graduation certification in the year 2011. Now, in this case, what would be his/her total years of experience? What would HR consider in this scenario? Is the total work experience 3 years (as of today) or 14+ years? Please help me understand the situation, and let me know what HR rules say in this situation.
