Are Visitors Covered by Workers' Compensation if an Accident Happens on Site?

manojs_citehr
I want to know whether third parties or customers are covered under the workers' compensation policy. If a third party (visitor/customers, etc.) visits our factory premises and an accident resulting in death occurs while they are on duty, what provisions are laid out in the workers' compensation policy?

Workers' Compensation (WC) policy is applicable to directly or indirectly employed workers falling under the category of workmen as defined in the act or those who have been considered based on court decisions. Customers and visitors are not covered. Any specific insurance in this regard may be obtained from the company.

Thank you.

Customers and visitors are not employees of the company; hence, they are not covered by the Workers' Compensation Act. They need to obtain a Personal Accident policy; otherwise, they are at their own risk.
