Hiring Internationally in Africa: Should I Use Naukri or a Consultancy?

Hi All, can anyone suggest how to hire candidates at an international level locally (Africa)? Will the portal (Naukri) help, or should I seek assistance from consultancies? Please advise.

None of the Indian consultants will be able to help you recruit locally in Africa. I am stating this based on my experience of having worked in Africa for over 7 years until December 2013. Are you trying to recruit local Africans, or are you trying to recruit Indians in Africa? Upon hearing from you about this, I will be able to guide you appropriately on how to connect with relevant consultants and/or web portals. Also, you need to mention the specific country in Africa where you require people, as Africa is a very large continent.

Naukri is popular amongst Indians in the Middle East since the target audience of advertisers is Indians. It has no presence in Nigeria, and the web portals that Nigerians register their resumes on are those which originate in Nigeria itself and those that target Nigerians.

Thank you for all your suggestions. We are looking in Kenya (Nairobi/Uganda/Tanzania). Basically, we are looking for local candidates, specifically candidates from Africa only. However, we can also consider candidates from India to Africa.

International Candidate Access

I believe Naukri has limited access to international candidates. If anyone can guide me on the same, I would appreciate it.

You can go with Naukri; you will have access to international profiles as well. In terms of all technical profiles, you can access them from here. Most candidates from India will be interested in opportunities abroad with good packages. You can collaborate with Naukri and other portals along with your internal recruitment team.

Looking at the responses, I feel good knowing there are so many people here to help. By the way, I need a local candidate from Kenya (Nairobi/Uganda/Tanzania), to be very precise. Kapesh, Preeti, Soba... I have tried Naukri as well, but there are no Kenyan local candidates, and no other consultancy is providing the same. Anonymous, thanks again for your suggestion.
