Basic Salary Required For Getting Family Visa

Hi,

I'm an IT professional presently working on the salary structure in Mumbai. Recently, I have received a job offer from Abu Dhabi. The package I am entitled to is 14,000 AED per month. I have a doubt regarding the family visa, as I haven't accepted the offer yet. The information I have received states that the minimum Basic Salary required for opting for a family visa after 3 months is at least 5,000 AED per month.

The basic salary provided to me is only 3,500 AED. Should I go ahead with this offer and plan for my family visa and their insurance, which I need to pay from my pocket?

I need your help in sorting this out.

No, my friend, not at all. The basic needs to be AED 5000. Additionally, inquire about family status and medical coverage for the family. Housing and medical expenses are two of the most costly aspects in Abu Dhabi.

They say that to sponsor a wife and children, one needs to have a total salary of AED 4,000 along with a tenancy contract. According to the current law, one cannot sponsor residence visas for parents.

Well, as per my resource, it's 5000 or 6000+HRA. For a parent, I guess the salary must be more than 20,000. In both cases, you need to have a two-bedroom flat and a home contract approved by concerned authorities. Besides, for a family residence permit, it's possible, but the paperwork is just too much.

You know, this is precisely the reason I have so many employees wanting to work in Saudi Arabia. The rules are much more relaxed, and the cost of living is 3/4 times cheaper than in the UAE. (Abu Dhabi is the most expensive city to live in the Middle East).
