My Company Giving Me Termination Letter What I Have To Do To Save Me

Kamal Saroya
Hello friends,

I am working as a pension supervisor, and nine workers work under me.

What happened? Today, my senior called me and told me that one of our candidates is not eligible for the job, so we fired him. However, during a period of high workload, he worked for us for two months.

When I questioned my senior about why they were firing him, they simply responded with their seniority and other reasons. I expressed my disagreement with their decision with a bit of a rude behavior, and in response, they informed me that they were going to type up his termination letter.

Now, I am uncertain about what I should do to protect my job.

Kamal,

I am compassionate about your situation. Requesting you to elaborate on your case in more detail so that I can suggest accordingly. Please provide details such as:
- Which company do you work for?
- Who are the seniors you are referring to?
- Who are the employers of the 'workers'?
- What is your pay and the workers' pay?
If possible, kindly send a copy of your appointment/contract letters. Provide as much information as possible for better suggestions. You can also forward the letters to me at write2nk@gmail.com.

Hi Kamal,

Your case is a perfect example of "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones."

Action plan for you: go talk to your seniors. If you spoke to them rudely, ask for forgiveness. If your teammate is being removed without sufficient reasoning, discuss with your boss to find a solution.

If your employment status is confirmed, then you may challenge your termination to the competent authority. Before terminating any confirmed employee, the employer is required to issue a charge sheet to the employee for misconduct, allowing sufficient time for the concerned employee to submit an explanation for the allegations. If a charge sheet has not been issued in your case, then the termination will be considered unethical and invalid.
