How Do I Update Our Office Address on Karnataka's Shops and Establishment Certificate?

Could anyone please let me know the procedure for changing the office address on the Shops and Establishment certificate issued by the Karnataka government?

Please submit the change of address form online at labour.kar.nic.in and take a printout of the confirmation sheet. Submit the relevant documents as proof of address, ID proof of the organization, and the directors.

Additionally, prepare a covering letter to be submitted at the Labour Department, located on Bannerghatta Road near Dairy Circle.

It appears that your office is located in Karnataka State. As I don't have much information regarding Karnataka's S & E, I am unable to give you a proper suggestion. Therefore, I would suggest you go through the S & E Act and Rules applicable in your state in detail.

Amendment Process in West Bengal

However, as per the S & E Act and Rules applicable in West Bengal, an amendment of the S & E Certificate is required due to a change in the office address. Following this change, one must obtain a new trade license from the relevant authorities. Subsequently, the amendment of the Registration Certificate can be processed. You are required to submit the original certificate along with Form-C (indicating the change of address), the trade license, and payment of the necessary fees to the Registering authorities under the Shop & Establishment Act. Upon satisfaction with the application for amendment, the concerned Inspector will amend the certificate and send it back to you.

Have supportive documents such as a Rental Agreement and Bank Statement of Account (SOA) that mention the new address. Notify the state commercial tax office, and if necessary, inform the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Also, notify the Karnataka authority, and the changes will be updated accordingly.
