Hiring Security Guards on Direct Payroll

What are the documents and rules to follow when we take security guards on direct payroll instead of through an agency/contractor? Also, if a guard works for only 7 to 10 days and leaves abruptly without information and later demands salary for those days, is it required to settle the payment?

Thank you.

There are no special rules for the direct recruitment of security guards. They will be your employees, and all employment conditions, policies, etc., applicable to other employees shall also apply to such guards. If a security guard has worked for 7 to 10 years, they are entitled to their earned wages, pay-off, and settlement to avoid any disputes.

You may conduct police verification prior to hiring security guards. Other terms may be the same as applicable to other employees. It is better if you prepare a roster for all security guards, ensuring they have 7 days of rest.

Appointing a security guard on direct payroll does not require any special documents. It's the same procedure as applied to other employees. One more document you can ask for is a police verification certificate from his nearest police station and a license certificate from those who come to use a gun.

Regarding salary, it's better to pay the salary for his working days to avoid disputes.

Thanks
