Change Of Employer Name In ESI & PF

Dear All.,
i joined new organization as HR Executive and the organization is in merging process with and MNC so i like to know weather the company name should be changed in to new company name or close down the previous employer PF & ESI account and apply for new registration kindly clarify this

You have to fill- up Form-5A(Return of ownership) along with application and supporting document of name canged such asxerox copy of Bank account/Electicity bill or any supporting document of name change.

So far as procedure under ESI is concerned, kindly refer to Section 93A of ESI Act, 1948. As and when, the existing firms or companies are closed or merged, intimate the position to the appropriate Regional/Sub-Regional/Divisional as well as Branch Office and Inspection Office of ESIC.
If the employees are taken over by the company already having ESI Code Number, the compliance in respect of all such insured persons can be made on the code number of the firm with which the firms are merged.
The matter can also be discussed in person with the appropriate authorities of ESIC as mentioned above.

Hi All,
I have completed ESI Online Employer Registration, but by mistake i have updated principal employer name as ABC instead of the concerned name, kindly guide what is the procedure to change principal employer name.
Will be thankful if anyone help in this matter.
