Resignation After Termination

adi.kr
I was working in Coal India Ltd. and i went home after availing casual leave and started preparation for my MBA exam. I did not go back to company and after few months, i sent a medical certificate of 6 months leave. Actually i want to leave the company and do MBA, but i did not submit my resignation. I was planning to submit my resignation just before admission in an MBA college. Few days back i got a termination letter from my company. so what should i do now? Can i submit my resignation now? how will this termination letter affect my career when i will join any company after completing my MBA? Will a company ask for resignation letter during interview? without resignation letter how can i prove my 2 years work experience?

Hi Adi,
You should have approached the right way than evading your responsibilities towards the company. You can't expect a 6 month leave after not reporting duties. I am not sure how well you have communicated to your company.
Go back and talk to the HR to consider your case.

Hi
By not giving a formal letter of resignation, you have yourself invited the letter of termination.
Really sorry to sound harsh, but it is not considered professional to not keep your organization informed of your whereabouts when you are in their employment. Why did you not inform them? What strong reasoning was keeping you silent? Sending a medical certificate of six months is not a complete activity if the organization did not respond to that certificate and if you did not follow up for a response.
Your next employer will surely ask for a relieving letter - Coal India is not a small organization. Please do not provide any kind of fake documentation at your next job - lots of organizations are doing background checks and you may get terminated from employment if they find documents are fake.
