Industrial DA Rates Dropping for Central PSUs: How Will This Affect You?

Dear friends, as you know, the Industrial DA effective from 01.01.2014 for 2007 and 1997 scales are 90.5% and 221.7% respectively. With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of December 2013 and January 2014, the projected Industrial DA effective from 01.04.2014 will be 88.1% (a decrease of 2.4%) and 217.6% (a decrease of 4.1%) respectively.

Note: AICPI for February 2014 has yet to come. The final figure may vary accordingly.

As you know, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.01.2014 is 90.5% and 221.7% for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively. In compliance with the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of December 2013, January, and February 2014, the Industrial DA from 01.04.2014 onwards will be 88.4% (a 2.1% decrease) and 218.1% (a 3.6% decrease) for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively.
