Am I Eligible for an MBA in HR with an Arts Background? Seeking Guidance and Advice

Vrishti Chaturvedi
I saw your link and thought that it might help me. I have completed my graduation in Arts and now I want to pursue a post-graduation degree that can assist me in securing a job. I am interested in an MBA degree in HR.

I also want to mention that I am completely new and inexperienced in this field. Am I eligible or suitable for this postgraduate course? Please guide me in detail and address my queries.

Thank you.

There is no specific specification for selection in an HR position. You only need to join a professional training program where you can gain practical knowledge. Simultaneously, you should consider joining a personality development or communication class.

HR requires basic knowledge of HR, excellent mail and letter drafting skills, and good communication. That's it.

Best of luck.

If you are willing to pursue post-graduation, you can consider joining MSW-HR or MBA-HR for a better career.

Thank you.

Dear Vrishti,

First of all, I would like to appreciate your choice of course. In fact, an MBA in HR is a very good option, especially for women. I would suggest applying for a regular MBA from a reputable college if you aim to join a good company.

You may also go for a dual specialization MBA degree, e.g., (HR & Marketing) or (Marketing & Finance). It should be by choice and not by chance. Check your interest because if you do something with interest, you give 100% in it.

All the best!

Regards,
Kanika
