Background Check - Special Case

My Friend is having 10+ years of experience. She lost one year during her engineering days. However she is very good with her professional skill. She has multiple global credentials by now.
Also she had worked with top 50 multinational company in India and US.
My friend would like to know due to 1 year lag during Engineering time.... can BGC in TCS be negative?

I am posting this again in this section because this info will have an impact on her decision even to appear for interview with the organization or not. Please help

Tcs going to check only what you have stated in CV or Employment form. Gaps and all now days not going to be a big issue in Tcs as on date. My friend recently joined with a gap in an employment. So I hope this case pertaining to degree and I hope he/she should declare everything in actual what he did.
