Understanding Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
TNA can be for:
I) Knowledge
II) Skill
III) Attitude
Further, it can be classified under requirements:
a) Based on the company's LONG-TERM vision and goal.
b) Strengthening or bridging the current KSA.
The fees depend on the size, strength, and field of the organization, and also on the company's requirement in a specific area of TNA. During my tenure of giving support to companies to enhance and strengthen their Talent Management, it's hard to give a figure because one size doesn't fit all. Depending on the man-hours required and the level of TNA, it can be a broad range between Rs. 500 to Rs. 2000 per man-hour.
When companies indulge in TNA, it's usually much later in the stage when things have started to unravel. At that time, TNA and immediate refreshers become essential for the company to survive and ensure longevity. TNA can reap benefits for a company when it's done at the right stage and timeline. Think of it as an investment in a child's future during its growing stage. Although you can see subtle changes in a few days, if implemented correctly, it can help shape the brand, and the ROI will be seen in the form of goodwill.

Thank you very much, Deena, for your valuable input. I will look into the matter as per what you told. I hope I understood you correctly. When you mentioned man-hour, did you mean per hour?
