No, she will not be eligible for maternity benefits under the MB Act or ESIC as this benefit is applicable only in the case of a delivery.

Adoptive mothers who are Central Government employees become eligible for 180 days of maternity leave. However, this is applicable only if they have less than two surviving children at the time of adoption and if they adopt a child who is below one year of age.

Additionally, male Central Government employees are now eligible for 15 days of paternity leave upon adopting a child, subject to the same conditions as applicable to female employees.
