Dear Friends,

The National Festival Holiday for every year will be announced by the government in the official gazette notification thirty days before the end of every year, i.e., before 1st December. That is the official declaration of the Holidays.

Hi Sankar,

Festival holidays declaration depends on which state you stay in. I think what Ms. Sapana has provided to you is perfect. Only on July 1st - State Bank Day, I can replace it with some local festival that should be listed under the Factories Act of that state. Before you make a list of holidays, you should see how many Hindu, Muslim, and Christian employees work in your organization; according to that, you can select the holidays. You can keep 12 festival holidays with 2 restricted holidays or all 14 festival holidays.

You should inform the factory inspector 45 days before the start of the new year.

Please rectify if any mistakes are found.

Yours sincerely,
Arabindo
