When Does the New PF Coverage Limit of Rs. 15,000 Become Effective? Seeking Clarity

Dear Seniors, As per the latest decision from the Central Board of Trustees regarding raising the monthly wage ceiling to Rs. 15,000/- from Rs. 6,500/-, we would like to know when the said law is applicable from. As per our knowledge, the law was passed on February 5th, 2014, but there is no mention of the effective date.

The finance ministry has approved the proposal as reported by the media. However, the EPFO has yet to release the circular. Please wait until then.
