I am currently working as an HR Assistant and pursuing PGDHRM at Symbiosis. Could anybody provide information on the topic for which I can prepare a project? Please guide me with the project title.

HRIS, as suggested above, is a very good topic. You can take up a project on SHRM (Strategic Human Resource Management). It is the latest buzzword in HR and the most discussed one in the context of the changing role of HR and HR assuming greater importance in formulating organizational strategies.

According to me, you should go for work-life balance. You can refer to an article in Times accent dated September 11, 2007. Make it colorful with loads of pictures, and you can take up a case study or make a case study by analyzing which companies are following a work-life balance.

One more challenging topic is the role of HR in mergers & acquisitions intervention. There are many topics such as HRIS, developing HR policies or an HR manual, and talent management.

It would be good if you take up "Organization climate" as your topic as it would include employee engagement, satisfaction, motivation, employee communication, etc. If you need any help related to this, check out Gallup.

You can choose a topic on HR scorecard or can also consolidate it with strategic HR like strategic HR and the effectiveness of HR scorecard.

You can work on benchmarking HR practices in the industry. In this project, you can focus on 3-4 HR practices such as recruitment, training, performance management, etc., in 5-6 companies within a specific sector like textile, ITES, FMCG, or food.
