Seeking Help Regarding Incomplete Notice Period Served.

Mahima Bhatnagar
Hi All,
I have resigned from my job in December and I gave one month notice period due to family reasons which considered as incomplete. My employer gave me relieving however she mentioned \"incomplete notice period served and there will be deduction for the same\" Initially when I joined ,the company was in process of merging so the notice period was only for 15 days in my offer letter later on in December they told its for 2 months. I want to know whether incomplete notice period in relieving letter would affect my career. I am searching for a new job right now.. Please help...

Hi Mahima
Really it's strange that in the relieving letter they do mention incomplete notice period. In the reliving letter it should not be mentioned.
They can deduct the amount for not serving the notice period.
Advise you to talk to your HR and get it another letter.

Thanks for your suggestion
But I already requested my HR to give me proper relieving but she told me its company policy.. She is not giving me another relieving letter.

Incomplete Notice Period served will not affect the career, but make sure that you get the other relevant documents, i.e. Experience Certificate, your FNF, etc.
When asked tell the new joining company that you have paid for the incomplete notice period.

Hi Saji,
Thanks for answering my question. I will get Experience Letter and FNF after 45days. Meanwhile if I get a call from other company, I will tell them that I have paid for incomplete notice period. Is there any other advice that you would like to give me regarding same????
Thanks and Regards

Please ensure that your FNF statement shows the Notice Period Recovery receipt, so as to avoid future complications from your previous company.
