harshakanhai
Hello,
I work in an IT company (Timing : 10:30 am to 7:30 pm).The company does not has a canteen. Our lunch timing is 2 pm to 2:45 pm (no snacks timing in evening).
One day I went outside the company building at around 5 pm for snacks. I went to a nearby public canteen, there I met with an accident.
Accident : I was standing on the footpath when a car came and hit me and I suffered serious crush injury and a bed rest of 3 months (LWP).
By office colleagues took me to nearby private hospital. And initial amount of 10k was deposited by boss that time.
By company is not following any PF or ESI policies.
What I want to know is: What is company's liability in such a case ?

Co has no liability if the employee is not under any obligation to use the public canteen.EPF has nothing to do with this accident.
