Is My Friend Eligible for Gratuity After Resigning? Need Help with Calculation!

Dear All,

Please help me with Gratuity Calculation. One of my friends has resigned from his current job. His details are as follows:

Gratuity Eligibility Details

Date of Joining: 22nd June, 2009
Date of Resignation: 5th February, 2014

Kindly inform me if he is eligible for Gratuity or not?

He will not be eligible for gratuity as the law states that an employee is eligible for gratuity after completing 5 years of service. Your friend has only completed 4.6 years, so he will not receive it.
