Different Types Of Leave Policy With Different Rules?

Suresh Rathi
Dear Gadde,
The computation is good but leaves out certain salient features. For instance for Delhi, a person should have worked at least for 60 days out of 4 months to be entitled EL.
May I suggest you to include maternity leave also.
But the fact remains that that your computation does give an excellent comparision.

With reference Under Punjab shops and establishments section 14
PL- one day for every 20 days
Sl- 7 days
CL -7 day
dhruminmbahr@gmail.com
every 20 day work , you will get 1 pl
Cl rule is not clear depends upon company rules it may be 10 or 7 or may be on calculation with the pl.
just like if any employee gets 13 pl than we can put a formula like fro every 15 pl employee get 10 cl than what will be a cl for 13 pl

Hi,
As many of the members suggested please refer the act where your company fits in and proceed accordingly. If it is S&E then its simple..

12 SL
ML & PL
You could cook it based on your organization.

Hi!
As per my knowledge, 21 paid (earned) leaves and 4 National holidays are mandatory as per model standing orders.

Please go to comply4HR - Labour Law In India which is a recently launched portal on labour laws.
After registration, if you look in the ready reckoners section, you will see full details of leave policies in each state in India. As many have pointed out on this thread, leave entitlements and rules regarding accumulation and encashment differ from state to state and no single policy (or answer on this forum) will be correct.
