ESI Act Coverage Clarification

The ESI Act is extended area-wise to factories using power and employing 10 or more persons, as well as non-power using manufacturing units and establishments employing 20 or more.

Could anyone please let me know if this is correct or if there have been any amendments regarding this? Please share your opinion.

Amendment to the ESI Act

The ESI Act was amended in 2010. Now, the ESI Act is applicable to all factories employing ten or more persons, irrespective of whether they use power or not.

I would just add to Sai Kumar Ji that wages for 10 or more persons are not a criterion.
