Understanding PF Withdrawal Tax: Do I Need to Report It in My Returns?

Mathews T
I worked for a company from September 2006 to June 2011 (a period of 4 years and 9 months). After that, I joined another company in Kerala. In 2013, I requested the PF withdrawal from my previous company and received the money in December 2013. I am not sure if the amount was taxed at source; if not, would I need to show it in my returns?

If the PF is deposited with the Government, then it is not taxable. However, if it is deposited with a PF Trust, then yes, it will be taxable.

I worked in a real estate company from 18/10/10 to 9/9/12. I was free for 5 months, and then I joined a company on 09/02/13 and have been working there since. I transferred my PF to my current PF account. Now, I want to know if, when I complete 10 years, the 5 months will be counted or not?
