Can My Colleague Claim ESIC Reimbursement for Hospitalization Due to Alcohol-Related Illness?

One of my colleagues was a regular alcohol drinker and was critically hospitalized due to liver diseases. After 1 1/2 months of super specialty hospital treatment, he has been discharged from the hospital. The hospital expenses crossed Rs. 1 Lakh.

He was a regular contributor to ESIC for the past 1 1/2 years and now he wants to claim the hospital expenses from ESIC. The hospital was not on the empaneled list of ESIC. Can you please tell me whether he is eligible to get the reimbursement?

You can get the reimbursement from the ESIC. Collect all the required bills and doctor's certificate, and submit them to your nearest dispensary. You will get your money back.
