Job Offer Rejected Due to Employer's Fake Listing – How Should I Handle This?

I have 6 years of experience in the IT industry. I was recently offered a job with a CMM Level V company. However, I was rejected because one of my erstwhile employers is listed as a fake company according to their records. The company still exists but operates from a different address, and a couple of my colleagues still work there.

What should I do now?

Just get the latest details about the earlier company and convey them to this CMM Level V company. You can also give the HR reference or those of your friends still working there, but first, speak to the earlier company's HR and inform them of the situation. It's in their interest too to correct the image as they have been declared 'fake' by a CMM Level V company.
