Urgent Query On MLWF

Two of our (Contract Labour basis)employees have resigned on Nov. 26,2013 and the final settlement was made on Dec. 04,2013. Now the Contractor Company has charged Rs. 36/- towards MLWF in addition to full and final Settlement. Is this to be paid? Kindly revert.

Dear Smriit,
If the dues are for the month of Nov then MLWF should not be attract on the same irrespective of whether it is paid in Dec or jan or any month.
