Struggling with PF Login: How Do I Update Credentials After HR Change?

Issue with PF Login Credentials

I am newly appointed in a manufacturing industry. The previous HR person left six months ago, and since then, they haven't paid PF contributions. Now, when I tried to log in online on the PF website with the given username and password provided by the previous person, I couldn't do it as it showed an error message on the website stating "wrong user ID and password." When I contacted the previous HR person, he mentioned that the user ID and password change every six months.

So, friends, is it true? If yes, what is the procedure to get the new login credentials? And if not, then what procedure should I follow?

Please guide. Thank you.

Dear Suchita, I appreciate your dealing with this kind of critical time. Here, I mention two ways to retrieve a username and password:

1. Click the "forgot password" link. It will automatically send the password to the registered email ID and mobile number.

2. Alternatively, you can visit the local PF office. They will request a letter on the company letterhead. They will assist you accordingly.

Congratulations on your future endeavors.

You can approach the PF office to get all kinds of information since your company has not made the contribution for the past six months. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Dear All,

I am newly appointed in a manufacturing industry. The previous HR person left six months ago, and since then, they haven't paid PF contributions. When I tried to log in to the PF website with the provided username and password from the previous person, I couldn't access it as the website displayed an error message indicating an incorrect user ID and password. When I contacted the previous HR person, he mentioned that the user ID and password change every six months.

So, friends, is this true? If yes, what is the procedure to update it? And if not, what steps should I follow? Please guide.

Hi All, remember, the user ID will never change unless done manually; only the password changes every three months, which is prompted during login. If you have the mobile number registered online, you can use the "forgot password" option.

Yes, it's true that every six months, if you log in, they ask you to change your password. I think you should go to your local PF office and give them a letter stating that you are not able to log in online. They will solve your problem immediately.
