How Can Employers Transparently Show PF Contributions in Appointment Letters?

28dec87@gmail.com
Hi Seniors, I have one query regarding PF. One of my friends is working in an RPO as HR. There is a deduction of 1560 Rs from the employee’s salary, which includes Rs 780 as an employee contribution and the rest Rs 780 as an employer contribution (hidden to the employee). I just wanted to know how the employer can show their employer contribution in the appointment letter.

Is the deduction of Rs. 1560/- shown under the heading of PF on the salary slip? If that is so, then the employer is violating the law. However, as mentioned by you, if the amounts are reflected in the appointment letter, then the employee's salary package is in CTC format, and therefore, the employer's contribution is shown.

In PF, there is an option for voluntary contribution. Kindly check with your friend whether he/she has applied for any VPF (Voluntary PF Contribution). The employer contribution can be seen in the CTC breakup of the employee, which is offered by the employer. If you have any queries, please call [Phone Number Removed For Privacy Reasons].
