Creating an Employee Handbook and HR Manual for a Manufacturing Company: Where Do I Start?

I am working in an LED Lights and Metering manufacturing organization in Delhi as an Assistant Manager - HR. Recently, I have been assigned to prepare the overall company policy (HR policy + Employee Handbook) for my organization. We have two manufacturing units in India and a corporate office in Delhi. Before formulating an HR policy for a company, meet with the management and legal staff of the company to determine the set of policies necessary. Identify what the policy should entail and how it should be written to best align with the company's goals.

Designing an HR policy manual and an employee handbook is a challenging job. The HR policy manual is a macro-level document, while the employee handbook is at the micro level. It includes insights about the company, vision, mission, goals and objectives, information about key management personnel, head offices, branches, etc.
