New to the Company: How Do I Get My PF Account Number and What’s the Process?

I am Pranith K, a new joiner to the organization. Does the company provide me with my PF account number, or is there a specific procedure to follow to obtain the PF number (such as a particular month or date to enroll in PF)?

Please refer to the company/organization regulations as the benefit is within the ambit of PF rules. However, you are eligible for PF on the first day of your joining the institution/organization/company.

As part of the joining formalities, the company should have provided you with Form No. 2 (Nomination form for PF, EPS, and EDLI), which signifies your enrollment for PF. Apart from this, you are not required to go to any PF office. Generally, the PF No. is displayed on your payslip, which you can refer to. In case it is not there, you may approach your HR.
