Confused About My EPF Balance Updates and Contributions – Can Anyone Clarify?

I checked the EPF balance in the member portal. It shows as "last updated 31/03/2012." But still, I am working. Please advise if the PF amount is paid yearly once by the employer or not. I referred to one more portal, and it shows my account balance as Rs. 19,040. The employee share is Rs. 5,831, the employer share is Rs. 5,831, and the Pension Fund is Rs. 12,911. Could you please give me a clear picture of how much my final account balance is?

Please check through the EPFO E-Passbook to find the exact amount of your PF. Request your employer to generate the E-Passbook.

The response "last updated 31/03/2012" doesn't mean that you are no longer a member of EPF after that date. This means your EPF account was last updated on that date. After that, it has not been updated, and it may be due to any reason.

You are advised to get registered on the [Member Portal](http://members.epfoservices.in/) and download your EPF Member Passbook. It will give you the exact position of your EPF account up to the updating date.
