Monitoring Near Misses in Crystalline Silica Exposure

We have started monitoring near misses, especially in crystalline silica exposure during concrete work in the last couple of months. There are two processes in the construction industry that are used by experts: the Wet Process and the Dry Process.

When I started learning about crystalline silica exposure, I was particularly interested in understanding monitoring and controlling measures. I hope our experienced seniors can share their insights and the control measures they have used in their work areas.

I will provide more detailed information regarding the Crystalline Silica Management Plan (CSMP) and share the CSMP document we have developed at our worksite. Please refer to the following page for more information: https://www.osha.gov/Publications/osha3176.html.

Additionally, I would like to request relevant documents from our members that we can refer to and further discuss this topic.

Thank you in advance.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for—please find attached (PFA). Please refer to Chapter 5 for information on Crystalline Silica.

Nice to see your contribution to this thread. I'm specifically looking for concrete work. However, the document you shared is worth having.

Thanks
