Hi friends, I joined a Singapore-based company on November 7th, 2013. I received my salary on the 10th of December. My actual salary is $21,000 per month. They calculated my salary based on 30 days in a month, making the per-day rate $700.
My number of working days is 19 days (excluding Sundays and 1.5 days of leave) minus $1000 for LIC and Medical. Therefore, they paid me 19 * $700 = $13,300.
Question About Salary Calculation
I have a question regarding the calculation of the per-day salary. They included Sundays in the calculation, but when it came to my actual salary, they deducted Sundays. When I inquired about the reason, they mentioned that this is company policy. Is this policy correct? Help me, guys. Thanks in advance.
