Minimum Wages in India: Do They Apply to White-Collar Jobs Too?

Can someone help me with information on minimum wages applicable in India? Whether this applies to white-collar jobs also?

Minimum wages depend on the state. Every state will have its own minimum wages pertaining to the industry. You can check it based on your locality. All cadres in employment are covered under the minimum wage.

As Christopher stated, minimum wages vary from state to state, so you need to check the minimum wages of your state. White-collar employees are also covered in this, as minimum wages are generally defined in three categories:

1. Skilled
2. Semi-Skilled
3. Unskilled

Please note that minimum wages are revised from time to time.
