HRA Benefit During Career Break

Hello All,
Good Morning.
I was working till August 30th in this year 2013. I had taken a break and have started working again from December 2013. Am I eligible to show deductions of House Rent for the months Sep till Nov 2013 in my new company. Can this be possible? Answers would much be appreciated.

Hi,
As you said that you were not in employment during September till November & company did not pay the the HRA to you.
Now there is no confusion in this case as HRA rebat can be claimed only for the employment tenure. Since neither you were in the employment nor income added in your annual income, for that particular period.
