As a fresher, you should know the basic definitions and concepts of HR topics such as: What is HR? What is strategic HR? What is a job description and job specification, etc.

For a fresher, interviewers will ask simple questions about basic HR concepts and statutory compliances. I have 1 year of experience as an HR Recruiter. Yesterday, I attended an interview where they asked me questions related to recruitment, basic HR concepts, salary structure, and deductions, etc.

From a fresher, they expect a few things like good communication skills, an MBA-PG, or at least 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, and knowledge of basic HR concepts.
