Struggling to Withdraw PF from 2004 Job: Any Tips for Checking Balance Online?

Hello Members, I am Santosh Kumar, working in Pune. I was associated with Ntrance Ltd (a sister concern of WNS company) but left the job in 2004. However, I have been unable to withdraw my PF (I worked for around 1.5 years). I tried checking the balance online but encountered the below-mentioned error. I would like to request you to either inform me if there are any other methods to check my PF balance or how I can withdraw the amount without visiting the office. PS: I am not currently employed, so I can't transfer the PF to my current company.

ERROR: STATUS for Member ID: PU/PUN/0012*/000/0003* Invalid Input / Member name mismatch against this PU/PUN/0012*/000/0003* **Data updated till 22-11-2013 14:56:28

Many, like you, are experiencing the same hassles. The EPFO department does not update the data, and I am also facing the same problem. What can one do when dealing with lazy government servants?

You are receiving this error message because there may be an error in your name in the EPF account that needs correction. If you have an EPF slip, you can easily cross-check your details on that slip.

Since your EPF account has been inactive since 2004, it may have been frozen. Therefore, it is advisable to contact the EPF office concerned for further assistance.
