Understanding the Projected Industrial DA Increase from January 2014: What It Means for You

As you know, the Industrial DA w.e.f. 01.10.2013 is 85.5% and 213.2% for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively. In compliance with the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of September & October 2013, the projected IDA from 01.01.2013 onwards will be 90% (a 4.5% increase) and 220.8% (a 7.6% increase) for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively.

Note: AICPI for the month of November 2013 is pending. The final figure may vary accordingly.

Kindly correct the effective date of the projected DA as 01.01.2014 instead of 01.01.13 in the above posting.

Wishing you all a Happy & Prosperous 2014. As you know, the Industrial DA w.e.f. 01.10.2013 is 85.5% and 213.2% for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively. In compliance with the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of September, October, and November 2013, the Industrial DA from 01.01.2014 onwards will be 90.5% (a 5% increase) and 221.7% (an 8.5% increase) for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively.

Industrial DA Update for 2007 and 1997 Scales

As you know, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.01.2014 is 90.5% and 221.7% for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively. In compliance with the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of December 2013, January, and February 2014, the Industrial DA from 01.04.2014 onwards will be 88.4% (a decrease of 2.1%) and 218.1% (a decrease of 3.6%) for the 2007 and 1997 scales, respectively.
