How Can I Use My Pending Sick Leaves Before They Expire Without Raising Eyebrows?

I have 6 sick leaves pending, and they are going to lapse next month. Now, I want to take those leaves before they lapse since last year around 9 leaves got lapsed. Can I take 2 sick leaves every week and reason with the manager with lame excuses? Since we don't have casual leave, I have no other option and don't want to use my earned leave.

Atul Verma,

See, don't try to take leave as you are losing your SL without any reason. It will reflect on your service behavior. If you are in a government organization, you can do so. However, in a private organization, without any valid reasons, if you attempt to take leaves (ELs or CLs or SLs), the company will scrutinize your behavior. During your yearly increment, your performance will be negatively impacted. So, don't do that. By not availing the leaves, everyone will appreciate it, and you can proudly state that your leaves are left over this year. The management will also have a positive perception of you.

I would say, if you do not really need the leaves, then do not take them this way. You better know your roles and responsibilities. In case you see that by taking leaves, your tasks and projects will not get affected, then you can think of taking a few leaves.

It's easy to say. It hurts when I see other teammates utilize all their sick leave and also get appreciation for their work. I can't stand such harassment. The management only thinks and does nothing.

Lols! No one appreciates pending leaves; instead, they laugh and say, "What a fool you are. What did you achieve by all this?" And once leave lapses, no one bothers to check it. It's gone forever. I have seen people with the worst leave record gaining the same appreciation and respect.
