How Can I Transfer My Company's ESI from Trichy to Coimbatore? Need Guidance!

My company (IT Services) was started and has been doing business in Trichy for the past 8 years. Recently, in April 2013, we completely shifted our company from Trichy to Coimbatore. We had requested the Trichy Zone ESI office to transfer our company to the Coimbatore zone in April 2013. However, the transfer is still pending.

Guidance Needed for ESI Transfer Process

To enroll, we need to instruct our employees to visit the Trichy Zone office to get registered. Could you please guide me on how to proceed with this matter?

I suggest you contact the Director of the Sub-Regional Office of the ESI Corporation located in Coimbatore immediately with all the necessary facts. This is for the allotment of another/fresh ESI code number for the Coimbatore area, or they may allow you to deposit the contributions under the old code number for the Trichy area. The SRO, ESIC, Trichy may not have a role to play since your factory has already been shifted to another SRO of ESIC.

After obtaining the fresh code number or approval from the SRO in Coimbatore as mentioned above, you can also get in touch with the nearest appropriate Branch Office Manager of ESIC in Coimbatore. This is for the registration of your employees covered under the ESI Act who are working in Coimbatore. You can also inquire about the transfer of their records from the appropriate branch office of ESIC in Trichy following their procedures.
