Resigned After 5 Months: Will I Get My 12% PF Deduction Back?

I joined ABC company and completed 5 months. This is my first job, and now I have resigned. Will I receive my PF amount, which is deducted at 12% per month? Please reply to me.

If you want to withdraw your PF, then you will only receive your PF amount. You won't get pension money. However, if you transfer it to your new organization, you will receive the full amount (PF + Pension).

Thanks, Rupali, but what do I have to do next? I heard that for your PF, the minimum working tenure should be 6 months. So, can I get my PF if the employer refuses to pay?

Hi Sanat, as I mentioned in my earlier post, you will get the PF amount if you want to withdraw it. Just fill out Form 19. Your employer cannot refuse to process your request, and the money is with the government, not with the company. It's your money, and you will get it back, but you will lose the Pension amount.

Check with the PF coordinator in your organization. Let me know if you have any more queries.

Thank you for your assistance. I have one final query. My first working day was on 10.06.2013. If I were to resign on 11.12.2013, completing 6 months on 10.12.2013, would I be eligible to receive the pension amount?

I kindly request your reply, Rupali Ji, as I plan to resign on 11.12.2013 and not immediately.

Regards,
