Inspection Book Requirements Under Maharashtra Factories Rules - 1963

Please see Rule 124 under Maharashtra Factories Rules - 1963. You are required to maintain a bound Inspection Book in Form - 31 of the size 35cm x 20cm. The Inspection Book must contain at least 180 pages. The book should be completely blank except for one page with straight lines and the second page without lines or left blank. You are responsible for keeping and maintaining the book either in the factory premises or within a 3-kilometer radius of the factory. Inspectors have the authority to write and provide inspection remarks in the Inspection Book.

You should ensure that the prescribed format of the Inspection Book under the Factories Act, 1948, is readily available at a book depot or stationery shop.
