Seeking Guidance on Indian Ladder Standards: Can You Help with These Specifics?

abhaygirish1
Dear all, to this forum, now everyone is giving it as a first preference because of its contributing members and their sincerity and seriousness towards safety aspects. Because of some personal reasons, I could not join this in the last few months, but henceforth I will be available for contributing/raising various queries on this forum. Now, I am in want of the Indian standard for ladders and eager to learn from seniors. I am looking for rules/criteria for the following parameters:

- MOC
- Top platform height of railing
- Ladder wheels safety
- Lever mechanism for ladders
- Capacity (Kg.)
- Height of platform
- Number of steps (Nos)
- Base frame length
- Base frame width
- Overall height
- Wheel dimension
- Length of steps
- Depth of steps
- Spacing between two steps

Thanks,
Abhay

Ladder Safety Guidelines

Mostly, aluminum ladders are preferable. Portable ladders should not exceed 20 feet in height. The safe angle to place ladders is 75 degrees. Always face ladders during ascending and descending. If ladders are more than 9 meters (fixed ladders), they should be provided with a crinoline, for example, boiler chimney ladders.
