How to Handle Bank Cheque Payments When Joining a New Company?

Dear seniors, my recent company always made payments through their bank cheques instead of NEFT or RTGS. So, when I change work platforms and join a new company, if the HR department asks me to provide them with the last few months' bank statements, how should I manage that? Please let me know the necessary documents that I must submit at the time of joining the new company.

No worries, any cheque transaction will be quoted in the statement from whom it has been done. So, you can always show that in case your new company requires you to show the bank statement as evidence for the actual take-home pay. If it's not working out, it's better to get a salary certificate from your employer and keep it for your reference. If they are not providing one, the third option would be your latest appointment or increment letter; this will be more than enough to prove it. Anyways, if the company is seeking your salary or deposit details, they will surely check with your employer. So, you need not worry if your bank statement doesn't reflect your deposited salary.

Payments through a bank cheque are equivalent to NEFT or RTGS. It is also legal and can be easily proved by the bank statement.
