Resigned Recently? What Essential Documents Should You Collect from Your Employer?

Thyag shan
Dear all, I recently resigned from my company. Please tell me what documents I need from my company. Note: I only have the offer letter. Regards.

Please check whether you received the Appointment Letter too, at the time of joining the company. While leaving the company, you have to collect the Full and Final Settlement Report, No Due/Clearance Certificate, Relieving Letter, Experience Letter, etc. If you do not have a payslip, then a Salary Certificate is required too.

Documents Typically Received During Employment

Below are the documents that an employee generally receives from their organization during their entire tenure:
- Offer Letter
- Appointment Letter
- Salary Slip/Salary Certificate
- Increment/Promotion Letter
- Resignation Acceptance Letter
- Experience/Service Certificate
- Relieving Letter

However, it is not mandatory for an employee to receive all these documents. In your case, as you mentioned you only received the offer letter, you would need the following documents for your future employment with another organization:
- Relieving Letter/Experience Certificate
- Salary Slips or Salary Certificate; a bank statement can also suffice if your salary was deposited directly into your bank account.

Ashutosh
