I have a query regarding the benchmark of INR 3500. Suppose an employee has a gross salary of 20,000. Will they be eligible for a bonus or not? Will INR 3500 be the maximum amount as a bonus any employee will receive?
An employee with a salary of Rs 12,000 per month (basic + DA) is not eligible for a bonus as per the Act.
An employee with a salary of Rs 10,000 per month will receive Rs 3,500 as the minimum bonus if they have no Leave Without Pay (LWP) at 8.33%.
