Coverage Of Hospitals Under Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act.?

Are hospitals (24/7 duty) and Diagnostic Clinics (8am to 9pm duty) covered under Industrial Employment Standing Orders Act, 1946.?

The principal Act was aimed at industrial establishments only, whereas there are state amendments which have put other establishments, ie, establishments coming under the state's Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, also under the Standing Order Act. If there exists any state amendment, then hospitals also will come under the coverage of Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act.

T.K.madhu is correct.Kerala govt have included all commercial establishments in the state under the Standing Orders Act.
